THROUGH
THE SMOKE SCREEN
Did you know that 31 May
is designated the International
Anti-Tobacco Day?
A good time to pause and consider a few facts.
- Smoking is not only injurious to health
but also a serious cause of indoor air pollution. Every smoker
is guilty of polluting the environment.
- 85 to 90 per cent of the smoke from a cigarette
gets into the air which others breathe. Make sure that nobody
around you is smoking.
- The right to breathe clean air, free from
tobacco smoke, is more important than the right to smoke. Speak
out against smoking in public places. Enforce a No Smoking policy
in your home and where ever you are.
